BTT'S PAULO FILHO COMMENTS ON BUSHIDO SURVIVAL

Paulo Filho was unable to submit his opponent, Gregory Bouchelaghem, in the June 4th Opening Round of the PRIDE Welterweight Grand Prix 2006 at Saitama Super Arena, despite being considered one of the likely tournament winners.

GRAND OPENING OF GOMI'S GYM IN TOKYO

Takanori Gomi held a press conference at his recently opened gym, Kugayama Rascal Gym, in Suginami Ward, Tokyo, on August 7th. Gomi will face David Baron in a non-tournament match at the PRIDE BUSHIDO SURVIVAL 2nd ROUND, the second round of the PRIDE Welterweight Grand Prix, to be held on August 26th at Nagoya's Rainbow Hall.

The "Fireball Kid", TAKANORI GOMI is looking for a fight as he takes on PRIDE newcomer David Baron in a non tournament bout this August 27th, at BUSHIDO SURVIVAL 2ND ROUND. Gomi's opponent, David Baron, is a tough fighter making his Japan debut and the PRO SHOOTO European Champion.

Two matches for the August 26th PRIDE BUSHIDO SURVIVAL 2nd ROUND event, the second round of the BUSHIDO Welterweight tournament, to be held in Nagoya's Rainbow Hall, were announced. Hayato "Mach" Sakurai and Mitsuhiro Ishida will now appear on the card, both taking on tough Brazilian fighters that are out to make a name for themselves in Japan.

TWO DAYS WITH JOSH BARNETT IN JAPAN

Josh Barnett will face Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in the PRIDE Open Weight Grand Prix 2006 Final Round event, to be held at Saitama Super Arena on September 10th. Josh is known for his deep knowledge of Japan and his Japanese has improved so much that he no longer needs interpreters for simple conversations. Josh arrived in Japan on the 25th, where Dream Stage Entertainment staff met him at Narita International Airport and followed him for the night.
