A press conference for the February 26th PRIDE 31 was held on January 19th at the Dream Stage Entertainment office in Tokyo. At the conference were DSE CEO Nobuyuki Sakakibara, PRIDE General Director Nobuhiko Takada and Tsuyoshi Kosaka, who will fight in PRIDE 31.

Hardcore martial arts fans will be pleased to see John Olav Einemo participate in the upcoming PRIDE 31 on February 26th. At the 2001 ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship, Einemo beat Rigan Machado and Rolles Gracie and in 2003, beat Roger Gracie in the same competition, becoming the Champion of his weight class. Now, "Europe's Jujitsu Magician" will bring his magic to the Heavyweight Division dominated by Fedor Emelianenko, Rodrigo Nogueira and Mirko Filipovic.

In the December 31st, PRIDE SHOCKWAVE 2005, Takanori Gomi KO'd former teammate Tatsuya "Mach" Sakurai to become the PRIDE Lightweight Grand Prix Champion. Gomi was the MVP last year and has become a popular figure. We asked Gomi what he's thinking about now.

Dream Stage Entertainment held a press conference on January 18th to announced two matches for the upcoming February 26th PRIDE 31 at the Saitama Super Arena. Yousuke Nishijima, whose participation was announced a few days ago, will fight against the Samoan monster, Mark Hunt!
