NAKAMURA-BUSTAMANTE CARD ANNOUNCEMENT

A press conference was held at the Dream Stage Entertainment office on August 4 to announce an additional match to the August 15 PRIDE GP 2004 Final Round card. Starting off an already historic card will be Kazuhiro Nakamura vs. Murilo Bustamante in the first match.

Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, following his KO victory over Shungo Oyama on 7/19 at PRIDE BUSHIDO 4, declared that he wants to take down Mark Coleman in August, in advance of a rematch with Randleman in October. This plan has obviously been thrown out since Mirko was matched up with Alexander Emelianenko but what does Mark Coleman have to say about being called out?

WANDERLEI TRAINING HARD FOR KONDO

PRIDE FC Middleweight Champion Wanderlei Silva is hard at work at the Chute Boxe Academy in his native Curitiba, Brazil. Silva is scheduled to fight Japanese mixed martial arts star, Yuki Kondo, at the upcoming PRIDE FC show, FINAL CONFLICT. Knowing the high level of skill and experience of Kondo, Silva is not taking his opponent lightly and has been training hard, concentrating on his timing and cardio. LOS ANGELES, California - The seventh and final match for FINAL CONFLICT 2004 has been announced and will feature Brazilian Top Team's Murilo Bustamante versus Kazuhiro Nakamura of the Yoshida Dojo. This is in addition to the semi-finals and finals of the sixteen-man heavyweight tournament and the previously announced non-tournament matches. FINAL CONFLICT will take place from the Saitama Super Arena in Japan and is scheduled to debut on North American pay per view for customers of iNDEMAND, DIRECTV, and TVN on Sunday, August 22nd, 2004 at 9:00pm EST, 6:00pm PST. For customers of DISH Network, the premiere will be Thursday, August 26th, 2004 at 9:00pm EST, 6:00pm PST.
