ANDERSON SILVA WINS KICKBOXING MATCH

Anderson Silva won by KO in STORM MUAY THAI GP, a muay thai event held on April 12th in Brazil. Silva also KO'd Carlos Newton with a knee-kick at the March 16th PRIDE 25 at Yokohama Arena.

HAMANAKA INTERVIEW

Takada Dojo's newest fighter, Kazuhiro Hamanaka, will fight Nino "Elvis" Schembri at the June 8th PRIDE 26: Bad To The Bone in Yokohama Arena. Schembri recently defeated Hamanaka's fellow Takada Dojo member, Kazushi Sakuraba at PRIDE 25. We went to Takada Dojo to speak with Hamanaka and his mentor, Takada Nobuhiko, the newly appointed General Manager of PRIDE.

This has been a tough 2 years for Fujita. Just when he was gaining popularity, he had an accident and now it's about whether he can make a comeback. I think this will be a big chance for him. DSE President Nobuyuki Sakakibara, Executive Producer Antonio Inoki and General Manager Nobuhiko Takada were present at a Tokyo press conference on April 15th to announce the reorganization of PRIDE. A one-year event schedule and a partial card for the upcoming PRIDE 26 (June 8, Yokohama, Japan) were also announced. Kazuyuki Fujita will fight the current PRIDE Heavyweight Champion, Fedo Emelianenkor, in a non-title match at PRIDE 26.
