Following weigh-ins at the PRIDE Dojo in Tokyo on June 3rd, Ibaraki Top Team members Hayato "Mach" Sakurai, Tatsuya Kawajiri and Mitsuhiro Ishida spoke about their upcoming bouts in the PRIDE BUSHIDO 11 and PRIDE Welterweight Grand Prix 2006 Opening Round event.

Hayato "Mach" Sakurai: Our Lightweight fights are included on the Welterweight Grand Prix card but we've been promoted well on TV, so it's fine.
I will just make sure he doesn't punch me in the face in the fight. I was punched in my personal life but I don't remember when I was punched in a fight. (laughing)
I wanted to wear a facemask but the rules didn't allow it. The mask was going to be like Dos Caras Jr.'s. The color was just plain black. It was a soft, plastic mask but they apparently wouldn't allow it because it would protect my face. I'm still considering whether to wear a mask during my entrance. If I've got it on, I'd like to just wear it in the fight too, though. I put the directions on how to make a mask on my blog so take a look at that. It costs about 20,000 yen. (laughing)

Tatsuya Kawajiri: I've done all I can do so now there's nothing left but to go crazy in the fight. My opponent is the Krazy Horse but I think I am crazier. Krazy Horse was yelling "Po Po" during the weigh-ins. (laughing) I want to win coolly, and spectacularly, without giving up anything in strength.
I will trade punches with him, depending on the situation. I'm relaxed and I don't plan on losing. I will fight as the situation demands and you will see that in the fight.

Mitsuhiro Ishida: I want to have an exciting fight. Aurelio looked big when I saw him in the weigh-ins. They said he could be 80kg within a day but I'm not going to give in to pressure.
I heard that he was underestimated me before the fight but Aurelio treated me like a gentleman. Now we will just fight in the ring. I want to give a good fight, along side Sakurai and Kawajiri, and let the Ibaraki Top Team take root.
