Pride:	Your last fight was against Daijiro Matsui last month in Gladiator.
Filho:	Yes.
Pride:	What kind of music do you listen to?
Filho:	2 Pac.
Pride:	Which do you like more, Brazilian music or American music?
Filho:	I prefer American music.
Pride:	You don't do the salsa?
Filho:	No, no. (laughing)
Pride:	What do you do when you are not fighting?
Filho:	I raise dogs. I used to raise fighting dogs.
Pride:	You've beaten Shoji before. How much do you think you've improved since that fight?
Filho:	I just got older.
Pride:	What do you work on the most in training? I know you are good at takedowns.
Filho:	I've got black belts in jiu-jitsu and judo. I've also been the Champion of Mundial. I have skills on the ground, as you know, so now I'm working on my striking more.
Pride:	What do all of those tattoos mean to you?
Filho:	This is my first dog. This one means warrior. This one is Mike Tyson.
Pride:	Mike Tyson? Why Mike Tyson? Are you happy with it now considering what has happened to him? He's in debt and kind of crazy.
Filho:	Yes, very much. (laughing) He just got a little bit older and a little crazy but I still like him.
Pride:	What about the 2 dogs on top?
Filho:	This is the symbol of the old Brazilian Top Team, under Carlson Gracie. Carlson Gracie was my first teacher and he taught me everything I know.
Pride:	I know the one on your neck is "I came, I saw, I conquered" but what do the words on your arm mean?
Filho:	If you need peace, you must be ready for war.
Pride:	What happened to your hand?
Filho:	I was in a car accident. I crashed my car and it rolled a lot.
Pride:	That's the only injury?
Filho:	Yes.
Pride:	Someone must be looking over you. Guys like you and Kevin Randleman, who was also in a car accident, must be in really good shape to come out so well. If I got into an accident, I would die.
