FINAL CONFLICT ABSOLUTE POST FIGHT INTERVIEWS
09/11/2006
Yosuke Nishijima
Pride Fighting Championships:
How do you feel now that the fight is over?
Yosuke Nishijima:
I don't have enough experience and I wasn't able to do anything. I'm sorry.
Pride:
What do you think was the reason for your loss?
Nishijima:
I don't have enough experience or training in grappling and defense. I think it was these two things.
Pride:
You took some hits at the start of the fight. Any damage?
Nishijima:
No. My memory's a little vague, though.
Pride:
What did you think of Evangelista's striking?
Nishijima:
I don't remember it.
Pride:
What kind of fight were you hoping for?
Nishijima:
I wanted to trade (punches) with him but I couldn't.
Pride:
Did you try to do something different than boxing? Or did you want to win with boxing?
Nishijima:
I intended to box with him if he came out punching?
Pride:
You've lost three consecutive fights in PRIDE. What do you think about that?
Nishijima:
I don't have enough skill. I will continue to do my best.
Pride:
What will you work on so you can win?
Nishijima:
I want to improve my ability to stay standing and focus on grappling. I need to be strong enough to stay standing in the fight. I need more leg strength and I need grappling technique.
Pride:
You invited a boxing trainer for this fight, right?
Nishijima:
I want to do more grappling training.
Pride:
Will you take off your shoes?
Nishijima:
I will keep wearing them.
