Andrei Kopylov is an expert and world champion in the Russian martial art of Sambo. A deadly grappler, Kopylov is a leg lock specialist, often looking for an Achilles lock or knee bar to finish off his opponents. This veteran of the RINGS organization competed in the "Rings: King of Kings 1999" tournament (Block B) and was victorious against Leonardo Castello Branco and Ricardo Fyeet. In the finals, Kopylov took on the legendary Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira and lost via decision. Well known on the Russian circuit, Kopylov is now looking to display his brand of fighting to the world at PRIDE FC.
