Hiromitsu KaneharaWhen making a case for world's toughest fighter, don't forget to include Hiromitsu Kanehara. This mixed martial arts veteran has fought for promotions throughout Japan including RINGS, Colosseum 2000, and Free Fight. Though his record is not impressive, Kanehara's list of opponents reads like a who's who of mixed martial arts champions and legends, including: Matt Hughes, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mario Sperry, Ricardo Arona, and Dan Henderson. Among his list of victories: Dave Menne, Tom Sauer, Valentijn Overeem, and Jeremy Horn. Though Kanehara is competent on his feet, his strengths are primarily his submission and wrestling abilities. In addition, this Japanese "Rocky" is a banger and is not afraid to go toe to toe as he can absorb an amazing amount of punishment. |
