Royce Gracie

Royce Gracie is one of the pioneers and living legends of the sport of mixed martial arts. One of seven brothers from Brazil, Gracie's domination in the early UFC opened the world's eyes to the effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Despite taking on opponents who were routinely bigger and stronger, this submission artist used a myriad of arm bars, leg locks and chokes to effectively and often quickly tap out his opponents. Among his victims, such fellow legends as Dan "The Beast" Severn, Ken Shamrock, and Kimo. From the UFC, Royce Gracie then brought his family's fighting style to PRIDE FC and today continues to never back down from a challenge to prove the superiority of Gracie Jiu Jitsu.
