This wolverine of a man established his wrestling reputation by taking 4th place in the 1980 All-American Free-Style tournament and 1st place in the Greco-Roman in 1987. From there he moved on to wrestle professionally for the now defunct World Championship Wrestling (WCW) organization. His passion and power as a fighter led to his nickname, "Obake," translated from the Japanese as "spirit of the monster," which was given to him by the Japanese pro-wrestler Yuji Nagata. One of the oldest professional fighters in the world, Obake is still a threat and possesses an arsenal of submissions.
