Originally from the state of Pennsylvania in the United States, Mike Bencic moved to Croatia to pursue a love for mixed martial arts. As a member of the Cro Cop Squad Gym, Bencic is the training partner of Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic. With his solid Jiu Jitsu skills, Bencic has shared his knowledge of the ground game with the team. Likewise, as one of the world's elite strikers, Cro Cop has taught Bencic much about the art of striking. Though Bencic is beginning his MMA career later than most, his skills are solid and he is known for always being in great physical condition. His nickname of "Batman" comes from his fondness of the caped crusader.
