Mac DanzigMac Danzig is a grappler that has studied under leading American MMA fighter, Frank Trigg, who will also take on Kazuo Misaki in this PRIDE event. Fighting primarily out of King of the Cage, Danzig has amassed an impressive record of 16 wins and 3 losses. Danzig had twelve consecutive wins and held the King of the Cage Lightweight Championship until his recent loss to Clay French in January. He is a persistent fighter well versed in wrestling, jujitsu and boxing. In addition to being a competent and accomplished fighter, Danzig is also unique among mixed martial artists in that he is a vegetarian. Danzig has wanted to fight in PRIDE for some time and exploded with joy when his participation in PRIDE 33 was confirmed. "This won't be the last time that I fight in the PRIDE ring, " he said. "I'm going to win." In his first PRIDE appearance, Danzig will take on one of the top Lightweight fighters, Hayato "Mach" Sakurai. Sakurai holds a win over Danzig's instructor, Frank Trigg, and Danzig is looking to settle the score.
