Makoto Takimoto

Representing the Yoshida Dojo, Makoto Takimoto enters the world of mixed martial arts with a highly decorated background. This judo superstar won the Olympic gold medal at the 2000 Sydney games in the 81 kg division by defeating rival Cho In-Chul of South Korea. Takimotos gold medal victory capped off an amazing run of three upset wins which included the likes of Ruslan Seilkhanov of Kazakstan, Gaston Garcia of Argentina, and Alvaro Paseyro of Uruguay. Since then, Takimoto has trained in boxing and kickboxing in order to compliment his judo game. SHOCKWAVE is his mixed martial arts and PRIDE debut.
