Dean Lister

Dean Lister is considered one of the world's elite grapplers in any weight class. This submission specialist has won numerous grappling competitions, but none more prestigious than the Abu Dhabi Submission Championships in 2003. That year, Lister won a gold medal in the absolute (unlimited weight class) category, winning three of his four matches by submission and setting a tournament record. Lister has trained with such Jiu Jitsu luminaries as Fabio Santos and Royce Gracie. Previous to his Jiu Jitsu triumphs, Lister was a champion high school wrestler and U.S. national Sambo Champion. "The Machine" is the son of a U.S. Marine and grew up in various countries throughout the world including Venezuela, Costa Rica, and Panama. A former "King of the Cage" middleweight champion, Lister continues to develop into an all-around fighter and now looks to prove himself in the PRIDE ring.
