Mark HuntRepresenting Oceania, Mark Hunt was born into a large, tight knit Samoan family in a tough suburb in the city of Auckland, New Zealand. Hunt never had intentions to be a professional fighter and entered the industry fairly late in life. After an altercation at a night club, in which Hunt ably defended himself against an attacker, the tough Samoan gained the attention of the club's bouncers. They were so impressed with Hunt that they talked him into beginning formal training ... the rest is history. As a kick boxer,
Hunt would go on to win the WKBF Australian Championship and the 2001 K-1 Grand Prix World Championship (shocking the world, as he won it as a relative unknown). Hunt brings much to the table ... raw strength, brutal KO power, and perhaps the toughest chin in the world. In K-1, Hunt has defeated the likes of Rony Sefo, Stefan Leko, Jerome Le Banner, Mike Bernardo, and Gary "Big Daddy" Goodridge. Now the "Oceania Super Fighter" is looking to broaden his horizons and compete in mixed martial arts!
