Ron "H2O" Waterman

Ron "H2O" Waterman

One of the most imposing forces in mixed martial arts, Ron Waterman brings incredible size, strength, and skill into the PRIDE FC ring. At well over 250 pounds, there are few competitors to match his size in the heavyweight division. This former All-American wrestler's career began in 1999 when he won the Bas Rutten Invitational Tournament (beating three straight opponents on the same night via TKO). From there he went on to fight in the UFC three times before he was given a developmental contract by the (then) World Wrestling Federation. But a fighter at heart, "H20" soon after resumed his MMA career and continued to wreak havoc on his opponents, using his superior wrestling abilities and submission skills to put together an impressive string of victories. Outside the ring he remains personable and peaceful ... Waterman is a minister and was a high school art teacher.
