Daijyu Takase

Daijyu Takase

Daiju Takase is a hard-nosed PRIDE veteran who comes to compete every time he steps into the ring. This Japanese mixed martial artist first gained fame in 1998 during his debut fight at PRIDE 3 ... an impressive submission victory against 600-pound Sumo wrestler Emanuel Yarborough. Since then, Takase has gone on to a successful fighting career, relying on his fiery spirit and world-class grappling skills. He possesses a myriad of submission holds and has pulled off several upsets against opponents who have underestimated him and allowed the fight to go to the ground. When his fighting days are over, this grappler may look to become a full-time musician, as Takase is a professional pianist in Japan!
